Pentagon Signed a $1.2 billion contract With Raytheon for Ukrainian National Advanced Surface to Air Missile Systems (NASAMS)

The U.S. Army awarded a $1.2 billion contract to Raytheon Technologies Co for six National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) for Ukraine

The US Pentagon and the United States of America Defense Company Raytheon Technology signed $1.2 billion contracts, including buying the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) for the Ukrainian wars.

On Wednesday, November 30 the pentagon announced in front of the press that they were going to buy 6 NASAMS for the Ukrainian war. 

To the Pentagon statement, Ukrainian has no defense system against Russian missile attacks and drones, as the US has already sent two NASAMS air defense systems this November, and the other are delivered in the next month.

This NASAMS defense system has protected the Ukrainians from Russian missile attacks and drones. Already Ukraine has 8 NASAMS systems.

According to the statements, Not only the NASAMS system but also the US has support to the Ukrainians for batteries, training, and logistical support for the Armed Forces and Security Forces.

Speaking about the NASAMS system is a mobile anti-aircraft missile system that supports short and medium ranges. This is designed for the shot and medium range for air targets. 

This machine enough capable of destroying drones, ballistic and cruise missiles, helicopters, aircraft, and other airborne targets. 

The NASAMAS, all the copyright has won and the complex design woned by Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace and the American company Raytheon Technologies.

In the Mid of November, a report has been published that Air defense systems from NASAMS were active and watching over Ukraine.
