Following the death of three adults and three children in a mass shooting at a Nashville Christian school, President Joe Biden addressed a gathered audience in the White House on Monday.

Following the tragedy, President Biden began his comments at the Women’s Business Summit in a lighthearted tone.

“My name is Joe Biden,” he introduced himself as the crowd chuckled. “My name is Joe Biden, and I’m Dr. Jill Biden’s husband.”

When Biden arrived to speak to the women’s organization, he said that he “came down because I heard there was chocolate chip ice cream.”

“By the way, I have an entire refrigerator upstairs,” Biden said. “You think I’m joking?”

Biden’s insensitive remarks came after a gunman, apparently, a female, which is unusual for a school shooter, entered Covenant Elementary School in Nashville and murdered six people before being slain by authorities.

In reaction to the tragedy, Biden called for a nationwide assault weapon prohibition, calling it “heartbreaking, a family’s worst nightmare,” according to CNN.

“We must do more to prevent gun violence.” “It’s tearing our communities apart,” stated the president. “We need to do more to protect our schools so they don’t become prisons.”

President Biden and Democrats seem to be seeking to exploit another tragedy into an occasion to deprive law-abiding Americans of their constitutional rights.
