UAB hires ex-NFL QB Trent Dilfer, currently a high school coach, as head coach

UAB is looking for its next head coach and they are in the process of recruiting ex-NFL QB Trent Dilfer as their next head coach.

The UAB college football team is now searching new head coach—and they had approached the ex-NFL QB of the Baltimore Ravens, Trent Dilfer as a new head coach.

If talking about the old team coach Bill Clark, is looking for a settled direction in his life, and he revealed he had world less than 10 years with the UAB team, now he had the decision to retire.

Now the UAB is thinking to go outside for searching for a new head coach aftermath of Jeff Saturday.

Based on the various news report over the last 24 hours, the UAB Blazers‘ had changed their search, Now he had an interest in former Super Bowl-winning NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer.

Dilfer has led Nashville’s Lipscomb Academy to a third consecutive appearance in the TSSAA Division II Class AA State Championship.

Based upon ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports, Trent Dilfer had no collegiate coaching experience, for the Blazers program.

Now the question is Why UAB is take this decision?

According to news reports, the deal hasn’t been confirmed by the Trend Dilfer, but there is so much possibility he will be in the coming days.

In June Bill Clark, the previous UAB head coach announced, he would be leaving the UAB head coach program he mentioned that he had suffered from back problems a few months ago.

From June to Nov, Bryant Vincent, the offensive coordinator take over the head coach role on a temporary basis. During her leadership, the team has achieved a 6-6 record and a spot in the Bahamas Bowl.
