Six months later, television’s greatest night is returning. Following the postponement of the 2023 Emmy Awards in January due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the year’s second Emmy event will resume on Sunday, September 15. View the whole fashion gallery for the 2024 Emmys here.
76th Emmy Awards
The 76th Emmy Awards will begin at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET from downtown Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater. The three-hour program will air live on ABC, but cable subscribers may watch it live via a number of Live TV streamers like DirecTV, Sling TV, Fubo TV, and Hulu Plus Live TV.
The best method to watch the 2024 Emmys live online is via DirecTV, which presently provides a free trial.
Leading the assault at this year’s event is FX’s “Shogun,” which received a staggering 25 nominations (including a limited series) and first-time acting nods for actors Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawa.
It’s a great night for FX, which has 93 nominations in all, including a record-breaking 23 (the most in Emmy history) for its comedy series “The Bear.”
“The Bear” was already an Emmy sensation, with ten wins in 2023, the most for a series in its first season. This time, “The Bear” stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, and Liza Colón-Zayas all won acting nominations.

Eugene and Dan Levy, father and son, will host this year’s Emmys. In 2020, the two became the first father and son to win major accolades in the same year, owing to “Schitt’s Creek.”
Eugene Levy and Dan Levy are the first father-son Emmy presenting partners; they are also the first tandem to do so since 2018 (when Colin Jost and Michael Che co-hosted), and just the second duo to host this century.
Eugene Levy is up for an Emmy this year for his Apple TV+ series “The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy,” which is nominated for best hosted nonfiction series or special.
