New details reveal the mother of the 14-year-old Georgia school shooting suspect had a criminal history involving drug use and property damage, painting a complex picture of the suspect's upbringing.

According to fresh information regarding his mother’s criminal background, the 14-year-old Georgia high school student had a difficult upbringing.

According to police and court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the teen’s suspect mother, 43-year-old Marcee Anne Gray, had a long criminal history that included drug usage and property destruction.

The youngster accused of shooting and murdering two instructors and two pupils at Apalachee High School hailed from a split family. The 14-year-old lived with his father, Colin Gray, while his two younger siblings stayed with their mother, Marcee Gray.

Marcee Gray was arrested in November 2023 for carving two phrases on the side of her husband’s vehicle and possessing unlawful narcotics.

According to the arrest warrant, Gray possessed a glass jar holding methamphetamine, a “baggie” containing fentanyl, another “baggie” carrying various muscle relaxants, and a glass pipe “used for the ingestion of narcotics.”

According to the warrant, she hid the identify of her Nissan Rogue by affixing a Nissan Kick tag.

Marcee Gray was accused and pled guilty in December 2023 to single charges of using a license plate to hide identification, second-degree criminal damage to property, and criminal trespass/family violence.

Marcee Gray was charged under Georgia’s First Offender Act, which permits qualified individuals to plead guilty without being convicted. Gray spent just the first 46 days of her 5-year term in prison under the state’s First Offender Act.

For the rest of her term, she was on probation.

According to probation paperwork, Gray was barred from contacting her husband, Colin Gray, except via a third party for concerns relating their joint children.

The 43-year-old was also ordered to complete a family violence intervention program and abstain from narcotics and alcohol.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the mother of the alleged adolescent shooter has a long criminal record.

Gray received a minor traffic conviction in Forsyth County and a speeding ticket in Barrow County in 2014. She was also charged in 2008 with a 2007 violation, involving driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the site.

According to court documents acquired by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, she accepted a plea agreement for the traffic violations, was fined $600, and was sentenced to perform 40 hours of community service.

The adolescent suspect’s father, Colin, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two charges of second-degree murder, four counts of involuntary manslaughter, and eight counts of cruelty to minors, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Investigators have revealed little specifics regarding the father’s suspected involvement in the shooting, although they have previously said that the teen’s parents are working with law enforcement agencies.

The father and son are scheduled to return for a preliminary hearing in December. The mother has not been charged in connection with the high school shooting.

It was unclear on Friday who was representing the Grays, but Fox News Digital reached out to Marcee Gray for comment.
