Goncalves greets the group with a “Hi, guys,” before confirming that she is the resident of the six-bedroom off-campus house at 1122 King Road, the site of previous noise complaints due to excessive partying.

Do you understand my purpose for being here? the police officer inquires.

“I suppose it’s noise,” she remarks.

The officer informs Goncalves that he is in favor of throwing a party up until the neighbors begin to complain, at which point the situation becomes problematic.

“Once I have neighbors calling in, you’re disturbing the peace,” the officer continues. “Nothing against having parties, having people who are overage to drink, but again, once we start disturbing the neighbors, we have an issue.”

He offers her a “verbal warning,” stressing that citations might cost $300 to $400 for a first infraction.

“I don’t want to give that to you. That being said, this is your place, I’m going to hold you accountable. Because it is your home, you’re also accountable for everyone here,” the cop says.

He then thanks her and wishes her a “good rest of your day.”

“Thank you, you too,” Goncalves answers and walks back inside after the short meeting.

Police subsequently went to the residence a few weeks later on the night of Sept. 1 following another noise complaintfrom a noisy party.

In a video broadcast by the real crime YouTube channel “Truth and Transparency,” a guy informs officers that the residents had departed for another party.

The cops eventually manage to call one of the other dead students, Madison Mogen, 21, who tells them on the phone that she was “so sorry for the inconvenience.”

Just months later in the early hours on Nov. 13, Goncalves and Mogen were stabbed to death along with their friends Ethan Chapin, 20, and Xana Kernodle, 20.
