Panic! at the Disco, the 2004 emo-pop band, is calling it quits after seven albums and nearly two decades.

Brendon Urie, the band’s vocalist, and the lone remaining original member announced the news on Instagram on Tuesday. According to the article, the band’s next European tour in support of its 2022 album Viva Las Vengeance will be it’s final.

“I could never have anticipated where this life would take me growing up in Vegas,” Urie wrote. “However, sometimes a trip must come to an end in order for a new one to begin.”

In the message, he also revealed that his wife is expecting their first child.

“I am going to close this chapter of my life and devote my time and efforts to my family,” Urie wrote.

Panic! at the Disco had been a solo act for years by the time Urie made this revelation. Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! was the band’s last album with all of its original members, released in 2013.

More than a dozen Panic! at the Disco songs have charted on the Billboard Hot 100, with two of them reaching the top 10 — “High Hopes” at No. 4 in 2019 and “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” at No. 7 in 2006.
