Melissa Joan Hart, an actress, said she assisted kindergartner pupils in escaping a school killing in Nashville on Monday when a shooter slaughtered three children and three adults.

The Sabrina the Teenage Witch actress resides in Nashville and said her children go to school near Covenant School, where the incident occurred.

Her children were not at school that day, but Hart and her husband were on their way to school talks when the killing at Covenant School occurred, she said in an Instagram message Wednesday.

“We assisted a class of kindergarteners who were climbing out of the woods, trying to escape the shooter situation at their school,” she said, fighting back sobs.

She stated that they assisted in getting the children to their instructors and guardians across the street.

“I’m at a loss for words,” she admitted. “Enough already. Just remember to pray for the families.”

Hart said she and her family relocated to Nashville from Connecticut soon after the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in 2012, which was the second bloodiest on record.

“This is our second experience with a school shooting involving our children,” she explained.

She and her family are fine, she said.

According to officials, Audrey Hale, 28, arrived at the Covenant School, blasted the glass out of a side entrance, and climbed through the hole to gain entry to the structure.

Investigators said Hale was equipped with two AR-style firearms — a rifle and a revolver — as well as a handgun and was slain minutes after arriving at the site.

Nashville Police Chief John Drake said at a press briefing on Tuesday that Hale was a past pupil of the institution.
